The Story Behind The BERLIN Coats

YAY! The Berlin vintage coat collection has arrived. If you have no clue what the heck I'm talking about, keep scrolling for a little backstory:

For anyone who found this blog post randomly on the internet, I am Erika and I was born and raised in Germany (my dad is American, my mom is German, so I have both citizenships).

Sometime in September 2021 my best friend Jen who is an amazing stylist in Berlin, somehow got in contact with a girl who was running the estate sale for a man named Oleg, who had recently passed away.

She told Jen that Mr. Oleg had collected a bunch of vintage coats and Jen knowing that I have a brand selling vintage, immediately called me and asked if I wanted her to go check them out for me.

DUH! Hell's yeah (I love you Jen!)

We face-timed while she checked out the coats and I almost passed out - he had about 6 racks FILLED with vintage coats. I just couldn’t say no.

So she grabbed a few for me and later the girl texted Jen and told her I could have the coats for a steal. Considering I live in the states I was like;  "omg what do I do? I NEED THEM!"

Jen was busy styling a TV show. But thankfully my amazing mom and sister, who live 6 hours away drove up to Berlin a few days later and stuffed their whole car full of coats. I know, they are amazing! Shout out to both of them 💘

They shipped the coats over to the US and here we are, giving purpose and new homes to these amazing vintage coats that had long been forgotten in an old apartment in Berlin for decades. I feel like Oleg is looking down super stoked!

Most coats are in perfect condition (thanks Oleg) and have been thoroughly cleaned, pocket checked and treated, so they're guaranteed not to smell like mothballs or moldy/musky. Plus, each coat has the Union Made tag which certifies it as OG vintage. Amazeballs!

Here are 10 of the Berlin coats to feed your eyes (Trigger warning: you might fall in love with all of them).
